Lost Boy’ was written about someone that I loved many many years ago.
It really wasn’t a healthy relationship. I helplessly watched as he set out to destroy himself (and almost took me with him) but I learnt a very valuable lesson -loving someone isn’t enough to save them, however much you might want it to be. I’ll never forget the utter hell that he put me through but I forgave him a long time ago and I always hoped that one day he’d find happiness and a reason to build a better life, but he never did and sadly, at much to young an age, he passed away earlier this year.
To anyone who’s currently lost - I hope you find your path…

Lyrics
A little boy lost In a world he didn’t understand, He could have found the path If he’d just held onto someone’s hand, But he just kept running, Running further and further away…. Always walking in the shadow When he should have sought the light, He gave up on himself When he should have learnt to fight, For a life that was better, For the life that he deserved… He was just a Lost Boy A Lost Boy A Lost Boy A Lost Boy Just a Lost Boy A Lost Boy With many borrowed tales He added to his disguise, Embellishing upon himself He wove armour made of lies He was hiding from the truth He was hiding from himself… And so he’d drink another drink To try to drown his pain, Make the same old mistakes Time and time again, Until there was no way forward And no way back… For he was just a Lost Boy A Lost Boy A Lost Boy A Lost Boy Just a Lost Boy Lost Boy He had so many chances To take hold of someone’s hand, But he let them slip through his fingers Just like falling sand…. Until he was so lost, That he couldn’t be found…. With childlike eyes Set in the hard face of a man, He was just a little lost boy A real life Peter Pan, And now his journeys reached its end. I hope he found his Neverland…. Yes now his journeys reached its end. I hope he found his Neverland…. For he was just a Lost Boy A Lost Boy A Lost Boy A little Lost Boy Just a Lost Boy A Lost Boy For he was just a Lost Boy A Lost Boy A Lost Boy A little Lost Boy Just a Lost Boy A Lost Boy Lyrics: Kie Spate
